CORPSyoga™ class was created by Elizabeth Jefferson, in association with Chris Kostman, specifically for endurance athletes, especially cyclists and runners. It is designed for active sports enthusiasts, including cyclists, runner, climbers, triathletes, and hard-charging team sports players. Her class flows through challenging, but doable all-body sequences in a format that is suitable for all levels of yoga experience. CORPSyoga is designed to accelerate recovery, minimize the chance of sports injuries, rejuvenate and restore energy balance, and provide a cross-training compliment to any athlete's repertoire. Each class finishes with deep stretches held longer than usual - focusing on the lower back, hips, hamstrings, glutes, quads, calves, and spine - making it a perfect counter-point to a long day of active sports. Elizabeth Jefferson is an endurance cyclist (including finishing the Fall Death Valley Century and Spring Death Valley Double Century), sport climber, and life-long fitness enthusiast who was trained as a yoga instructor at the world renowned White Lotus Foundation. She holds a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 instructor certification, multiple indoor cycling instructor certifications, as well as a Ph.D. in chemistry. CORPSyoga is offered the day prior to, and at the finish line of, the Spring and Fall Death Valley Century and Double Century. Each afternoon at our CORPScamps in Death Valley and Mt. Shasta features "The Yoga Social" with a rejuvenating CORPSyoga class created specifically for that day's experience. Social time before and after the actual yoga class gives everyone a chance to swap stories while enjoying herbal tea by Joshua Tree Products and/or Hammer Nutrition Recoverite. More about Elizabeth | More about CORPScamps | Feedback about CORPSyoga: "I really enjoyed the camp. The yoga classes were great!!! The results exceeded my expectations. It definitely helped alleviate some chronic hip pain. We all know we should stretch.... but it takes time so we (ok, I) don't do it regularly.... making it a scheduled part of the camp made it easy and fun. As for the mileage, it was just right, I rode ~ 240 miles & climbed ~ 16,000' Wed-Sat, and was still able to do the full 135 with 17,000 feet on Sunday. Thank you!!!" - Louis Durano, CORPScamp Shasta "You put on an amazing camp. It was professional and well executed and most importantly you infused such great energy into the rides. It is great to be re-inspired about movement / kinesiology / performance / life / adventure / passion. You were a great inspiration to me this past week, in ways that extend far beyond cycling. Thank your time, energy, passion and devotion. I think you've re-awakened within me my need for adventure and passion, which has waned a bit, it seems." - Kate Daniher, CORPScamp Shasta "What a great opportunity to get away from the snowy Midwest and ride outside. February is about the time we snowbound masses are screaming to see sun and warmer temps, so the timing was great. The rides were fantastic, and the people were a blast. Chris and Elizabeth, you were top-notch hosts. LOVED the yoga!" - Anna Boldon, CORPScamp Death Valley Here are some shots of CORPSyoga classes at CORPScamp Death Valley
